Workshop JAH is an interdisciplinary design practice which mediates the space between the fantastic and the banal, the magical and the real, between theory and practice. Manifesting into the world, a body of work that is imaginative and compelling. We seek to push the bounds of contemporary design practice by constantly challenging the status quo through narrative and form. the research of the practice has been supported by the Miami Foundation and the Burning Man Global Arts Grants.

The Workshop was founded by Jonathan Hanna an Urban Designer from Detroit. Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and his Master of Urban Design from the University of Michigan. In addition to running Workshop JAH, Jonathan is also Urban Design and Research Fellow at the Kent State University Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative.
